The United States says it has deployed drones over Nigeria to assist in the search and rescue of nearly 300 schoolgirls who were kidnapped by an Islamist militant group. Pentagon spokesman Col. Steve Warren confirmed Wednesday the U.S. is flying unarmed manned and unmanned aircraft over the country to provide intelligence to the U.S. Embassy.
I think the drones are a good idea because it is important for us to know what exactly is going on or give us a good idea at least. The girls are most important right now and we need to do everything we possibly can to save them.
I think that they will help us get some more info on the situation and learn more about whats going on. We'll just have to see how helpful they'll be and what info they relay back to us.
I think it's a good idea and I am honestly just glad we are trying to help. It would be amazing if these drones could find the missing girls, but as I don't know much about drones I don't know how effective they will be.
I do not know how drones work and how effective they will be in finding the girls but I think it is an intelligent idea before getting armed forces involved. It is better to find a way to help out avoiding military conflicts
I think it is a great idea. I am glad that the US is getting involved, but not putting soldiers or lives in risk since we are just using a drone to find the missing girls.
The drones may help but to be able to find those girls is like a needle in a hay stack. The possibilities are slim to none. I want them to find them but i really doubt they are.
I am glad that we have deployed the drones. This is a better alternative and much safer than risking our soldiers. Even though it is very important to save these girls and bring them back home, I don't feel as though we should endanger a gross amount of US lives in order to aid Nigeria.
I think deploying the drones was a great idea because the U.S government should be doing whatever it can to help rescue the girls. This is a very efficient way to hunt for the girls without putting any more lives at risk.
