Dozens of rebels in Syria were ambushed and killed by government forces in Damascus. The government claims that the rebels recieved aid from Jordan and other Arab countries, as well as salaries from the US. Susan Ahmad, an Eatern Ghouta activist, says that the Syrians civilians want to leave is because they want to run away from hunger and the government siege.
Do you think we should send aid to the Syrian civilians?
The fact that the government is killing their own people is not right to begin with. And although I see why Americans would not want to get involved, I feel that to some degree America should get involved in certain conflicts with a humble attitude because of the fact that as the worlds greatest superpower, we should help fix some of the world to a certain extent but not because we are great but rather it's because it's our duty.
Maybe the U.S could send in some special forces to aid the Syrian civilians, but I think the best thing the U.S should do is let them handle their own situation or just wait until things get really bad then help if it majorly drastic.
I think that its horrible that the Syrian government is killing their own people but the US should not get involved. We are already not in good terms with some middle eastern countries and adding one more wont be worth it.
To directly answer the question, yes i believe we should send some aid to Syria to help out their citizens who are being attacked by their own government.
I believe that we shouldn't send aid to the Syrian rebels. We need to take care of ourselves as a nation before we think of others. If the situation remains unresolved after several more months and it begins to affect us directly we may need to step and and either provide aid or do something to help the rebels and end the fighting.
Yes, i think we should send aid in. The thought that the government is killing their own people disgusts me. We should go in and get the people that want to leave and bring them back here.
