The leader of a powerful al-Qaida-linked group in Syria gave a rival breakaway group a five-day ultimatum to accept mediation by leading clerics to end infighting or be "expelled" from the region. More than 2,000 people have been killed in the fighting between the Islamic State and rebel groups, including the Nusra Front. More than 140,000 people have died in the past three years, according to opposition activists.
I think putting an end to fighting is the right thing to do because it would lessen violence and the dearth toll. Though being forced to end the fighting or be expelled from the region starts more conflict between the al-queda linked group in Syria and the rival breakaway group, which is opposite of their intent.
