DARREN and Debra Wright lost their two young daughters to illness within three years of each other. Thats when they started breaking bad.
The couple spiralled into depression after the deaths and dad Darren turned to cannabis to help cope with his devastation, the Daily Mail reports.
In a turn of events that echoes the dramatic plot lines of the TV series Breaking Bad in which the cancer-stricken main character starts cooking methylamphetamine to pay his medical bills,Wright began growing the drug himself.
They were sentenced in a British court yesterday to a combined eight years jail time
Within a year of their first crop, the Wrights were heading a multi-million dollar empire, using Vietnamese immigrants as cheap labour.
Over five years, they produced dope worth nearly $7 million at seven factories across Kent, where they lived.
sooo...... they were inspired by the show? or just a coincidence? and how did they produce that much in seven factories without getting caught before this?
Families lose children all the time and they don't go and make 7 factories producing drugs. I don't think that this has anything to do with losing their child honestly.
Its the Breaking Bad of England. Its like a spin off series. But its terrible that they are so depressed that they go and have an empire of selling drugs. There are better things to do in life.

It is Absolutely shocking how well some drug producers hide their businesses. Unfortunately they know what they're doing, and they do it so well that many people wouldn't even think they are doing it.
Why would they do such a thing? The mom and dad should have gone to see a counselor/therapist, or they could have talked with a pastor. But starting a drug empire? That is sad, because they were really devastated about their kids, but they coped with the sadness the wrong way.
Very impressive that the manged five factory and that they where at large for 5 years but i wonder if they are thinking how there kids would look upon them if they where to see them today very sad excuse for people if you ask me.
Thats some over-inspiration from a television show, how original... I don't understand how building a drug empire helps cope with the sadness of losing a child either even if it was to pay for medical bills...

They didn't build the empire to cope, they did it to pay for the medical bills.
