I think if he was so persistant to have an air strike on them in the begining, then why not? Also, I dont think you can trust that guy i mean come on look at his stash

On Tuesday night, President Barack Obama addressed the nation's concerns regarding possible military intervention within Syria. In his speech, Obama stated he had asked congressional leaders to delay their votes on a resolution which would authorize a military strike. This delay would allow Russia time to work on their proposal.
"If we fail to act, the Assad regime will see no reason to stop using chemical weapons," Obama said. "As the ban against these weapons erodes, other tyrants will have no reason to think twice about acquiring poison gas" and using it."
"Obama said he was sending Secretary of State John Kerry to meet with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on Thursday in Geneva, while he will continue talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin. At the same time, Obama said the United States and its allies would work with Russia and China to present a resolution to the United Nations Security Council requiring Assad to give up his chemical weapons and to ultimately destroy them under international control."
What do you think about Obama's decision regarding Syria's offer?Do you believe that Syria's offer to give up weapons is simply a delay tactic?
at this point Obama needs to decide something wether its to attack or not. if he thinks attacking Syria is a helpful thing then go for it but he needs to decide soon cause delay is only making matters more tense

I think if a world super power like The United States of America threatened a small country with no ability to hurt the US i would certainly agree to surrendering my weapons. Just because he has a mustache doesnt mean we cant trust him despite him being a dictator.
I think keeping the threat ever present is very smart on Obama's part. And let's remember he is a dictator not some local fool who I would still bet is probably planning something because he is crazy, because only a mad man would gas his own innocent civilians.
I wouldn't trust him completely which is why I believe it is smart that Obama is so hesitant and is still prepared for any sort of attack. I do however also believe that we can solve this peacefully. Or at least I hope we can.
I think that surrendering the weapons is a good idea. The bottom line is that Assad is a dictator and his main goal is to maintain his absolute control by any means possible. The last thing he wants is for the US military to intervene and turn the tide of the civil war. He's smart enough to know that surrendering the weapons is his only option. After all, there are plenty of other ways to kill people and win a war besides using chemical weapons.
I think keeping the threat on the table shows that we are still gonna be a threat and then trying to seek a diplomatic resolution shows that we only want peace for thouse invloved i think Obama is handleing this very well.
i believe Obama is doing the right thing here if you just back off other countrys like Syria would begin to rise up with no fear of being striked against
