I have less than 2 months of summer because I leave August 6th! So I will be spending my summer relaxing and getting ready for my new adventure in Indiana :)
Turning 18 in July, a trip to a national park & going to Hawaii! This summer will be amazing, even though it will be a weird feeling knowing I won't be returning here.
going on 3 trips to the river with some of my fellow Eldo teachers and family :) as well as a trip with my closests 10 friends for my birthday! I will also be taking 2 classes at fullerton college, as well as rehabing my knee. a lot. Nonetheless it will be a legit summer :D
My family was planning to go to MExico on vacation but due to drug wars going on along the border where we would be travelling we might not go...haha and I'm volunteering in the student ministries at my church, way excited for that!
This is the first summer in seven years where I will have some full days to myself....and I am SOOOOOOOOO excited about it!! And also equally if not more excited to spend the other days with some or all of my MiniCavs - being so busy during the year, I really cherish my long lazy fun summer days with them :).
I am hoping to spend some of that solo time organizing and decluttering my house and improving some school stuff, and a lot more of it reading, eating, floating around in the Switzers' pool, and otherwise being blissfully self-indulgent :).
The reason I will get some solo time is because the Minis will be attending a number of weeklong camps about which they're very excited - and if any of you are alums of any of the programs, I'd love to hear about your experiences!! :) Lucy and JD are going to Titan Youth Sports Camp at CSUF, Lucy is going to Adventure Playground, all three are in a soccer camp, and Lucy and JD are going to Harry Potter camp through YL Rec.
Then, we go to the beach almost every Wednesday with some Hawk friends and try to do all sorts of social events that we have trouble finding time for in the middle of the year.
Bottom line: I love love love love love love love my job and can't imagine doing anything else. I have fun every single day I'm here and it almost never feels like work. And I love summer even more :).

I will be spending my summer in the water teaching swim lessons/ lifeguarding, going to Water polo practice, going to the river, and spending time at the beach :) I am so excited for summer!!!!
