Obviously video games have done no good for our society. People are dieing because they dont eat or even go to the bathroom when they are playing these games. And neglecting your child? Thats just awful. Its a very fair sentence, I think. The mother should be given no mercy in this case.

Do you think this is a fair sentence for the mom?
Is this a dangerous problem with gaming and internet? Should usuge of these site be more monitored.

I played World of Warcraft for 5 years. That has never happened to me. I neglect to do my chores. But when it comes to hygene I always take care of myself before even going on a computer.

I really don't know what she was doing in the game that would take up her time that much. I mean there are certain things that make you incoherent about the world around you for maybe 4 hours tops, but that is about it.

Why ban all video games.

There wouldn't be any game or entertainment apps for the itouch, Iphone, and stuff like that.

Personally I play videogames as a stress reliever it allows me to forget my troubles for a few hours.

Videogames are not all nececerally bad only psychopaths, sociopaths, and idiots replicate what they play in real life and not just for fun.

Just an fyi: even people who play the game professionally, barely play the game in comparison to people who play the game recreationally. I think that the average WoW player who plays for pay plays only when "New" content comes out, and plays about 60 hours a week, playing sometimes 9-10 hours straight in a row with minimal get ups and what not. But once they have done all of the new stuff tha comes out, they stop playing and wait until Blizzard entertainment comes out with new stuff.

video games are a leisure activity and dont need to necesarily have any benefit other than being fun, just like anything else though people can make it into something awful

how are video games going against society? If we see violence in the news all the time and that's all just part of our society. So how are video games going against society? Violence is ,sadly, part of our society no matter where it occurs it still occurs for a reason. It doesn't matter if you play video games or not a person can still be violent.

Yeah it is really sad. Many of those people who get really into the game usually are unhygenic, and go to sleep without brushing their teeth, not showering for 2-3 days, things of that nature.

I never got to that level, but I could tell I was progressing to it. Which was bad.
