A UN spokesman said policemen raided a UN warehouse on Tuesday after officials refused to hand over the aid to a Hamas-controlled ministry.
The UN said it was the first time its aid had been confiscated by Hamas. UN spokesman Christopher Gunness said Hamas police took 3,500 blankets and over 400 food parcels. The Hamas Social Affairs Minister in Gaza, Ahmed al-Kurd, denied that members of the Islamist movement had removed aid from a UN building.
However, he said his ministry was in dispute with the UN relief agency about how aid should be distributed.
He accused the UN of giving aid to local groups with ties to Hamas opponents.
Hamas is a terrorist organization who openly supports the the destruction of Israel. Do you think Hamas has the right to seize the UN aid after the devestation done to the Gaza Strip? Especially when their concerned about giving aid to local groups with ties to Hamas opponents instead of worrying about the care for their citizens as a whole?
No, Hamas has no right to seize supplies meant for Palestinian civilians in Gaza, especially since half the population in Gaza are dependent on UN food. And the mere fact that they are bothered by food supplies (not weapons) being given to civilians shows that they have little concern for people.

I don't think Hamas has a right to seize the aid that was meant for Gaza. Especially because the people of Gaza really need the help right now. I understand their frustration toward Israel and everything that's happened in Gaza, but them seizing the little aid Gaza is getting isn't helping at all.
I do not think that Hamas has the right to seize UN aid that was MEANT for PALESTINIAN CIVILIANS!!! The UN aid wasn't just meant for those who just had ties to the group, but instead was meant for the entire population of Gaza. From what I know, Gaza is receiving little help from the outside world right now and this story isn't helping their cause.
I do not think that Hamas has any "right" to seize aid. If it was meant for the Palestinians in Gaza, thats where it should go, especially considering that the aid being sent to them by the UN is basically the only things keeping them alive. Many innocent people are in need and I do not think that Hamas should have taken the aid.
Everytime I say Hamas, i think of hummus. mmmmmmmmmmmmm hummus anyone?
The Hamas should not have taken the Palestinians Aid. That was for them because they are in need of it! People can be so selfish sometimes. It pretty much is the only thing keeping them alive, and ofcourse someone else wants to take that away from them. Gese!
