Israeli police divers found a suitcase Thursday containing human remains that are believed to be the body of a missing 4-year-old girl. 2 weeks ago, the girl's grandfather Roni Ron, 45 years old, told police he stuffed her body in a suitcase and dumped it in the Yarkon River. At first he told the police he killed her because he slapped her out of rage. but kept on changing the story.

he claims to have said it was an accident.
but no one believes him.

i dont care what this guy tries to make it sound like, at the cost of a little girls life...he doesnt deserve to walk free from this

How can it be an accident. he accidentally killed her (!), than put her in a bag and dropped the dead body in the river...all accidentaly. wow.

i think this guy will be suffering from his own accident when serving his life sentence

when his cell mates kill him for murdering a four year old girl

Whether it was an accident or not, I think he deserves to be in prison for life because the little girl is dead because of him. This story is a little unsettling :( I have a niece who is 4 years old and it upsets me that someone could do such a thing to a child!

It is sick and disgusting for a man to kill his 4 year old granddaughter he shouldn't be hitting his granddaughter in the first place!

So he killed his granddaughter with a slapfest and says it was a mistake?
No excuse for that. He did it full knowing what he was doing.
This is disgusting.

The fact that he could even hurt the little girl in the first place disgusts and then to go and try to hide the evidence in that manner.....

that is messed up on so many levels. like who wants to hurt innocent little girls?
it doesn't matter that "he slapped her out of rage"

he should go to prision of a while, and ew that disgust me that he would even kill a little girl.

wow thats sooooooooo sad. i dont understand how someone could honestly hit a child, especialy one so young. that guy is whack and i think he belongs in jail. :(

this is terrible, why in the world if u slapped the girl and killed her why would you stuff the body in a suitcase and throw it into a river? That shows that he must have premeditated some thought of how to dispose of the body. I believe to take the life of someone so young desserves atleast life in prison, or death. Thats some crazy stuff though.

Obviously guilty, there is no question in that. I don't agree with the death penalty but I believe in life in prison.

That is just disgusting. Men like that shouldn't be wondering around freely, let alone be alive. As harsh as that sounds, its obvious that his mental state is not quite sane, so it would be a good idea if he was locked up from society in prison or killed. I believe isolation would be best. The mind will weaken so much that he is basically is not present mentally anymore.

I think he's obviously guilty, espically considering the fact that he kept on changing his story. But he'll have what is coming to him, what goes around comes around.

this is very upsetting! I mean the fact that he keeps changing the story, he may be covering up for someone else who actually did it. BUT none the less if he admitted it, jail.

that is so sad and disturbing! what kind of a G-pa is that? if it was an accident i dont think he would have taken it that far...by stuffing a suitcase with her body in it...he toook that situation to far, when he decided to hit her/kill her. thats messed up, poor little girl

i think its devestating and horrible. how could he do that? but it should also be considered that he's a grandfather as in he's old and senile.

definatly guilty.. this man needs help. his acts of violence are cruel and unusual.
I don't necessarly agree with the death penalty but in this case he was asking for it..
