Mother's Day is coming up this Sunday!

"How to be a good parent" is a self-help industry worth billions, a significant chunk of the blogosphere, and source of continual angst among most if not all people-with-kids.

What do you think are some key characteristics of a great mama?

A mother needs to love and care for her children but still show authority to discipline the child when they do wrong. A mother is understanding and willing to take the time to raise her children to the best of her ability so that they can become the best they can be.
