Twin blasts from the Calbuco volcano in southern Chile sent vast clouds of ash into the sky, covering the small town with thick soot and raising concerns on Thursday that the dust could contaminate water, cause respiratory illnesses and ground more flights. Most escaped but 30 people refused to leave because of worry of their houses and animals.
What should the government do to help these people get back on their feet?
They should support people in their decisions but since their decisions are not of their best intention they should encourage them to evacuate to safer areas.
the government should provide a place for them to recover from the polluted air, water and food during this rough time, and motivate unaffected citizens to help others.
