In France, a Catholic Church is giving worshipers the opportunity to "adopt" a Priest to raise funds. The campaign basically says that priests of all ages are readily available. Anything fromtrainee seminary priests to retired but, active, pastors.
how do feel about this? do you think this is weird? do you think that it will be successful in raising funds for their church?
This is a really weird way raise money in my opinion but whatever works right? I'm not really sure how many funds this will raise because a lot of people may also find this weird but some might actually do it. I would not adopt a priest!
well i understand what they are trying to do but its kinda weird. Yeah it will most likely raise funds for the church its just an odd thought. and no i would not adopt a priest.
I too, think this is really strange for a fundraiser. Yes, the money will go to a greater cause, than to worry about what people might think, but at the same time there are plenty other ways that they could raise this money without symbolically adopting a priest.
Idk man, this is just weird. Like, why would you adopt a grown ass man? I understand it's meant to raise funds for the church but what? Why adopt a priest? Who even wants to adopt a priest? This is just strange.
I do not really like this or agree with it.. In my opinion to go to this extent is not right and is just preposterous. As for being weird, yes I find this to be very weird and I doubt they will be successful. But hey, you never know.
I think this is so weird and wrong in so many ways. First of all this is a terrible way to raise money for the church. Secondly it looks bad on your church its like your selling them for illegal activities or something. I would never adopt a priest.
