The boys' game against canyon into overtime was incredible. The amount of school spirit was so cool. Not to mention the bell games are always so awesome to see us all come together
When i was in middle school i went to a boys and girls club, during the summer we had soccer tournaments and I had a team i played with. I had a lot of fun even though we can in last place in both tournaments:)
during football season it was awesome going to the eldo football games, the game against esperanza was to intense and awesome to come back in the last couple minutes, i went with ashley of course. the amount of school spirit at the game was insane and it made me so proud to be apart of el dorado
My favorite sports memory would be making varsity freshman year with my best friend Jade Anderson. We've been playing soccer together for 7 years and always been on the same team so it was such a great feeling being able to spend all 4 years of high school soccer together as well.
My favorite sports memory is perfomring at the footbal games and playing in the stand with the band and making it on Varsity Tennis last year with TANNER MARTINEZ and a bunch of other RADICAL DUDES!!!!
My favorite was the very first football game against Ayala. It was one of my best performences and my first varsity game and even though we lost i loved every second of it and will always remember it.
My favorite sport memory would be being able to race with some of my best friends, Zack Kurzbard and Shea Lyons, the past three years in track. Its just not the same since they left last year. But freshman year Kurz and I both winning league championships for the 110 and 300 Hurdles is defiantly up there with the best memories.
My favorite sports memory was our last 2 games last season of lacrosse. We dominated the other teams and it was a great way to end our unsuccessful season. It was also 2 of our coaches last years so we tried our hardest.
Probably bringing my 4x100 free relay from behind to win the event last week, it helped me realize that I am the won who the rest of my team is counting on.
Thank you Mrs. Cav! :)
My Favorite sport memory was making varisty freshman year and, hitting a buzzer beater to win the savannah tournment junior year.
My favorite sports memory is of when I competed in a competition at my old Karate dojo. My main rival at the establishment was a student who recently got expelled from this school, and he had more strength, speed, and experience than me. Everyone basically knew that I was going to lose against him, although there were some who were rooting for me. I was extremely nervous during the weeks before the competition, and on competition day itself, I was afraid that I was just going to chicken out. But finally, my name was called and so was his, and we began our sparring match. Sparring at my old Karate dojo was kind of lame, but the gist of it was basically that if you land a clear hit on the person, then you get a point. When the match began, I cleared my mind of everything and just focused on my breathing. Looking back, it was probably pretty obnoxious because my breathing was so loud. Every time my opponent would come in for a hit, I would back up slightly, then right afterwards shift my stance to a lower one and strike at my opponent's stomach. This proved to be extremely effective, because my opponent is well known for being extremely aggressive when sparing. I literally used the same strategy the entire round, and before I knew it I won the first round. I was ecstatic, and admittedly confused because I thought I would've lost for sure, but regardless there wasn't much time to think, because the second round started. The second round. my opponent caught on to my strategy, and didn't strike first for the longest time. Eventually, out of nowhere, he got a really good hit on my head and I fell back and felt disoriented. I was kind of angry at this point, so when the round resumed again, I decided that waiting around wasn't going to do anything, so I struck first. I got a point! it was my turn to be aggressive, and that's exactly what I did. I took advantage of my opponent's reluctance to strike first, and was able to get several points in before the end of the second round. I had won, but not only did I win, I pretty much wiped the floor with my opponent. he was visibly angered, and the entire dojo was surprised that I was able to beat him. After that, I started going to karate less and less, because I realized that at the end of the day it was a business, and I just became less and less interested. Regardless, my victory that day is something i'll always remember, and it's taught me a valuable lesson: never count yourself out.
My favorite sports memory was my first golf tournament win. This was key in my life because this would inspire me to keep playing until I entered the varsity team at Valencia a couple times freshman year and because it would help me occasionally lead the JV team at Eldo sophomore year. I was only playing for 6 months or so and was actually considered pretty good at the time but was still the underdog in this tournament. So my coach put me in a tournament with people who had been playing for years and are today still very skilled players (I had to permanently stop because of injuries). However, I didn't expect to win out of a bunch of people or so being the youngest by a full year in half (I was 10 in a half and everyone else was in middle school or 6th grade) and for having the least experience overall and skill. I however made it past the first cut and was in the top group for the second 9. I however was doing the worst until the last hole where I made a save par while everyone else in the group got unlucky and went in the water hazard at the course. I then had to play in a 3 way playoff. I was incredibly lucky and made a few saves until the last hole when it was only me and the expected winner of the tournament. We were both putting from the exact same spot and had an incredibly difficult putt. I however sunk it by luck and this would scare the other player into missing the putt. I won the tournament but was deeply humbled that day due to my luck. So from that day on, I started to play golf more frequently and enjoyed the game much more than before but always remembered that whether I was the best or the worst out of a group, no one knows who will win because golf like life, is unpredictable but meaningless if it cannot be enjoyed.
My favorite sports memory has to be when i went to Cooperstown, NY to play a baseball tournament with all the kids who are still my good friends today.
