What's privacy?

Edward Snowden released information about Australia telling their global partners that they could share bulk, unselected, unminimised metadata as long as there is no intent to target an Australian national." The information would include visited sites and emails. The Australian intelligence agency was reportedly willing to reveal more about its country's citizens, with fewer privacy restraints, than other countries. Prime Minister Tony Abbott said, "he was confident Australian intelligence agencies were acting in accordance with the law and there were adequate safeguards in place."

It seems like more and more of these stories are coming out. Every country which has been investigated so far has been spying on and distributing their citizens' information. This spying needs to stop.

I think it's not right for a country to release personal info, even if it's mininmum info. If Australia's citizens choose to have their personal stuff shared with other countries, then they made their choice. But an agency shouldn't just go ahead and sell information, especially if it's without the people's knowing.

There is no acceptation for invading peoples privacy without probable cause of breaking a law. I don't think it is right the government is invading there citizens privacy.
