I think some parents would be outraged by this. Having a strange lady telling them that all this candy is bad for them. There are other things she can do that are nice and good for the children's health. But that is just arude thing to do for young children.

Is she taking an important stand in favor of children's health or is she just a meangirl?

I would say she's taking an important stand except her message that is in the letter is just down right nasty and mean, she took a good notion and turned it into insincere bullying...
I feel she does care about the health of the overweight children, but in this situation this holiday is for fun and candy. She should become a spokesperson for better health if she truly wants to change something such as this.
i feel that the women is just trying to help these children but she is doin git in a way that can emotionally damage them and may even cause them to commit suicide
The way this woman has gone about preaching her message of healthy eating in just plain mean. If she wants to promote health she should just hand out apple or nothing at all. Imagine a little kid going trick or treating and all his friends get candy except him because he's a little chubby. How sad!
I think the woman has good intentions but her message can be conceived as extremely harsh, especially since her message is directed toward children. Maybe instead of emotionally degrading these children she could simply hand out healthier snacks herself.
Let's not forget that children's metabolisms at this point are already absolutely ridiculous. She should pick up a book before she hands out mean letters full of false information that looks like it makes sense.
I think she means well but handing out letters would not be a good idea. Kids should be having fun on halloween and i think these letters will just hurt their feelings. If she really does care about the health of these children then she should just hand out healthy snacks instead.
This lady's intentions seem good, but she should do something that's a bit more nice. Instead of singling out the "obese" kids with no candy, she should just give all the kids at her door a healthy treat. That way she could send a message without hurting the kids and insulting their parents.
She should have taken a different approach to this and she needs to rethink what she has said and has put out to the public i mean she seems like the mean old lady at the end of everyone neighborhood. Something also tells me she is doing this for attention more then trying to "help" the kids.
