It is well known that many want to escape North Korea because of its dictatorship. Some are successful at escaping, others are not. For those who escape and have family lefted behind, their family can be punished and put in prison.
The 19 year old, daughter of a Ministry of Public Security offical, has managed to escape to South Korea. Because her father is a high offical could he be in more trouble then others?
Wow the irony in this is just crazy. i mean i don't blame the girl for wanting to leave and have a better life but her dad is the guy in charge of stopping people from doing that so im guessing she had some knowledge of how to get past the security measures in place. And as for the family i believe they will be made an example so to try and denture anyone else form leaving.
I don't know why y'all have to be so negative...I mean they could find the girl and move her and her father and her family to a nice private island with no reception or outside contact so they can live happily ever after :)
shes really smart, one for escaping and two for being the daughter of someone with such high power and suddenly 'dissapearing'. i also agree that her dad will soon follow
At least one of the members got out. The rest of the family is probably happy for her even though they are going to get punished. Besides, it is undoubtedly better to be dead than to live a life under constant surveillance.
I think that it's great for the girl that she escaped, but I feel sorry for her family. Even if the dad is a high ranked officer, that might not be enough for the family's safety. I wonder if the daughter escaped because she couldn't stand to live such a life, a life in which her dad sent people to jail for trying to get to freedom.
