A canadian national was arested in Bogota's international airport in Colombia. This year 150 people have been caught with drugs at the airport and one third of them are foreign nationals. The 28 year old woman his 5 Lbs. of cocain in a fake latex stomach. These drugs would be worth $60,000 on the street.
What do you think colombia should do about so many people trafficking drugs through their airports?
I can't believe that a woman would use a fake pregnancy bump to smuggle drugs! I think that all they can do about the drug trafficking is to have tighter security measures and more secure screenings, although that would be unfair to people who are just regular travelers.
Wow that's really interesting, it's a clear sign that drug cartels are becoming more and more desperate to get past security to smuggle drugs. There's not much Colombia can do, as everyone else has also said, but to increase the amount of security.
Increase security, and maybe start to think like a smuggler would too, and look for ways that would never make sense for anyone to smuggle drugs. Maybe I have no idea how they would do that though..
I've heard a lot about drug trafficking in other countries. I honesty don't think it will stop for drug traffickers will always find a way to get there drugs past security.
I think take some advice form other country's on how to beef up there security is a good answer i mean Colombia has been dealing with this problem for to long and it needs to be solved.
