Iwoa has recently let 3 people who "cant legally drive and were unable to read the application forms or had difficulty doing so because of visual impairments." gun permits because state law forbids the shariffs to deny them the right to cary a weapon because of a phisical disability
They may have improved like hearing senses but giving them a gun is crazyyy! There are people who can see that still cant shoot properly. If theyre going to do this they need to at least somehow train them in how to shoot by sound...and hope that they dont huhrt anyone who lives with them on accident...
Giving a gun to a blind man is like giving head phones to a deaf person it just doesnt work. I understand the strive for equality however that is just dangerous and reckless and should be removed before someone gets seriously hurt or is killed
I don't understand why these people would even want guns. I mean they can still have discipline and not shoot people, but I don't think it is necessary.
This is the same way as Elders and driving. Owning a weapon is a very big responsibility you are holding death in you're hands. I don't agree that they should be allowed a weapon, just because the law says their entitled to one doesn't mean they need to own one.
Blind people should definitely not carry guns, it is detrimental to their safety and everyone else as well. If blind people want to enjoy the recreational pass time of shooting ranges, there are ranges specially tailored to their needs. However, having them own guns, is ridiculous. What would be the purpose? In the time of an emergency, would the blind person be able to defend themselves or others? I don't think so.
I do not believe that these individuals should have guns. How does granting guns to those visually impaired give them more security? Even people who have 20/20 vision can hardly operate a gun safely especially since accidents happen all the time. In addition I find it absolutely ridiculous that Michael Barber, a blind man, claimed that eyesight was unnecessary for operating a gun. How is not being able to see your intended target not neccessary?
OK lets see yes its an amendment but there are some cases in which the amendment can be altered a little. i mean lets think about this what kinda message is this sending to people around the world i imagine someone in Europe looking at this and saying wow the Americans have done it again. so in my opinion this is a definite no no.
