After an eight-year-old boy in Germany had his achilles tendon torn by a snapping turtle the mayor of the small Bavarian village has devoted all of the town's resources to catching the bloodthirsty beast.
When I first saw the headline, I believed that this would be a funny story. Now that I heard the whole thing, I think that is scary! I think they're doing the right thing by searching for that turtle. It is a hazard to the people as well as the kids who live there. The people should catch it and release it into the wild.

At least they are trying to get it out of the water in a humane way. They could have just put a cord connected to a car battery in. Plus, if the turtle bit one person, it could bite another.
I think that they should catch the turtle only if it poses future threats to other people. In that case, they should hire an expert to find and then simply relocate the turtle. If its not a threat, then they should forget about it.
why don't they just leave the turtle alone? i bet if they don't bother it then it won't attack random people, and if it does, then they shouldn't waste so much time to find it.
I believe they are going to end up spending more resources constructing the rake, they should should hire a professional to find and relocate the turtle.
I don't think they should be putting so much time and resources into looking for this one turtle. I think it's a waste of time. Also there could be more than just one of these turtles so they could end up catching the wrong one.
This doesn't seem very productive at all, it seems likely that even though they're using their resources to catch the turtle there's hardly any chance of trapping it since it hasn't been spotted in weeks.
