Why do Americans hate Android and love Apple?

I feel like it's your personal choice. Everyone is different and has different needs for a phone. Iphone and Androids have simliar and different apps and functions and such. So depending what the need of the phone is how you should make your choice.

I like Apple because, like the article said, it is an American company. Why would I buy something foreign when I can purchase pretty much the same thing from an American company?

android is way better apple sucks that is why I sold my itouch 4th generation that I got as a present on ebay fo $122 I hate apple that much they never truly update any of their technology all they do is update some features like phone dimensions or battery life plus their products are way too overpriced anyways

I have an Iphone I LOVE IT. but i would have taken any Smart phone at the time i bought it.

Your going to have die hard fans on both sides, I dont think it matters where you buy your phone because 9 times out of 10 it will be made over seas. Do you want the looks of Apple or the functionality of a droid?

I agree with Danielle, it's all up to personal prefence. My dad has worked for Apple in the past and would NEVER let us buy any other type of phone/computer/tablet. (If you go on any mac computer newer than 2006 and press his voice will welcome you to the program "voiceover")

It's all too obvious why Apple is favored so much here because its domestic and not from another country and because American consumers are stupid and will believe anything Apple Says. When we Americans have something cool that was designed by us we like to defend it to the DEATH...ANDROID RULES!!

I consider the newest Android phones to be better looking the an iPhone. But that aspect is of course a personal choice.

I don't have either, I have a really crappy phone, but from my friends who do have Droids, they tend to kind of suck.

I got my first smart phone about 8 months ago, the Iphone 5, and I love it! Although it is sometimes slow to respond, its a great phone and so easy to use. I've never used an Android so I'm not exactly sure how good they are. But Apple is so convinient, with stores in every mall. Do they even have andriod stores?

I love the functionality of Androids, but I live the connectivity of apple. The fact is that Apple came before the Android and people are reluctant to switch. People don't like change. They prefer to stay with what they know. So those people who didn't want to get an iPhone when it first game out got an Adroid because they were cheaper at the time. They loved it and didn't want to pay the huge amount for the same phone from Apple. Both have their strong suits. I have an Adroid and prefer their market system. Everyone is entitled to their opinions and prefernces. Mine is Android :D

It's brand recognition, I think. Apple is more heavily ingrained into our culture; Android's the new kid on the block. A bit of a clash is expected.
