Mexico Arrests 4 Leaders of Teacher Protests

Mexican prosecutors say that four leaders of violent teachers protests have been arrested on charges pf sedition , terrorism, rioting and property damage. The four charged have been sent to prisons in other states. The protest demostrators blocked highways, battled police, and trashed the offices of political parties. The protests are being led by unionized teachers in Guerrero an education reform law that will introduce teacher evaluation and reduce the the unions' power in hiring decision. The teachers are demanding a change saying that a simple test cannot determine the performance of a teacher.

Do you think that the teachers protest is too radical?
