The NHL finally approved the realignment plan that will change the divisions of the NHL for the forseeable future. Many people did not approve of this plan because of the affect it would have on traditional divisional rivalries but it passed anyway. What do you guys think of the realignment? Is it good or bad for the NHL? Will it bring in more revenue and increase TV ratings? How will non-NHL fans feel about hockey after this drastic change?

Ah, yes. Hockey. I think I've heard of that before...

In all seriousness, I don't see the big deal, but that might be bias on my part; I don't follow the NHL that closely.

I'm definitlely not a big fan of the realignment set to take place next year. I think the current conferences are good the way they are and should not be messed with. I also do not like the idea of some of the current conference rivalries being broken up.
