Since we're so near the end of our time together, it seems opportune to do some reflection....
any feedback from this semester? your favorite topics? stuff you loved? stuff you hated? other stuff we should do in the course? would you take another similar course in college (lots of schools have global issues classes)?
THANKS TO YOU for a great semester and for your intense, copious, and wide-ranging online posts! You guys have been wonderful in your thoughtfulness, courtesty, willingness to engage in respectful debate, and spirit of fun!! :)
As you journey onward, keep up your knowledge - read the newspaper, subscribe to a weekly newsmag, at least surf online for some current articles. You are inheriting a global world, to be sure, and you will best contribute if you are INFORMED. And get involved - I know some of you think that it's not our government's place to solve the world's problems, but it is ALWAYS appropriate for PEOPLE to involve themselves in being agents of positive change!!!
THANKS for being the AWESOMETASTIC yous that you are - best wishes for a wonderful spring semester and a bright and accomplished future! :)

I use to watch The Daily Show and Colbert Report when it was just on, but now I'm hooked. I've always looked forward to watching them in class and getting news in a comedic form.
I also enjoyed listening to the guest speakers that came. It's always interesting to learn from people who are involved in the international issues today.

Untill I took this class, I never really cared to know about the news or current events, but after taking this class, I really appreciated the presidential debates, and the current events that are going on in our world right now.
i love when we watched what was happening in the news and the discussed the topics
i agree, i like listening to everyone elses opinion on a topic. Before this class, i never watched stephen colbert or john stewart, now i love watching it

Yeah, I love watching Steven Colbert and John Stewart also. Those were some of the most awesome parts of it, I wish we watched more of the Republican debates that were going on constantly (on an almost clockwork basis) this semester though
