Verizon is finally launching an iPhone on their network. In all honesty the fact that this phone was only on AT&T was the only reason I didn't buy one. (I don't care much for AT&T)
Will this hurt AT&T's ending monopoly on the iPhone? Which is better/which do you have: AT&T or Verizon? Other thoughts?

I have AT&T and honestly I hate it. I never have service and it takes like 10 minutes to send ONE text message. I'm not surprised Verizon got their own iPhone, I mean they have a lot of other good phones on their network and this just adds to the fact that they are superior.

Yeah not to mention basic plans for the iPhone ran up to around $60-80 per line...and that's just basic

My dad is on the Sprint network. Exactly the same network as Verizon, but they have a simple everything plan that you get unlimited everything for $60.00 a month.

I have AT&T, and I honestly don't care what coverage I have (as long as my phone works). I've heard that there are better providers, but AT&T seems to be doing just fine for me. Then again, I don't use my cell phone as much as other people, so maybe I wouldn't see the issues that are there. ;)
Yeah I agree with Juli. I have AT&T and really don't have any problems with it. All the problems with my phone are purely the phone's fault, not the provider. I suppose it's good Verizon got the iPhone so competition will lower prices though.

My family used to have AT&T but we switched to Verison, and we are liking it a lot more.
I think that Verison will beat out AT&T with this new iPhone for Verison. That was the main thing setting the two companies apart, and now we will just have to see how it plays out....
Defenitly Verizon! I know alot of people were waiting for the iphone to switch to verizon because why would you spend money on a good phone and horrible signal.
I cannot wait until everyone from AT&T switches over to Verizon! I have AT&T and I am looking forward to better service once everyone switches over. AT&T will be less popular, which will result in less of an overloaded service. On top of that, AT&T has excellent out-of-country service... So pretty much I cannot wait! Switch to Verizon, all you fools! Ha!
Okay I don't know if it is just my phone or what because our family recently switched over to Verizon and I cannot explain to you my hate for it. I don't even get service in my own house. And when I do finally find a spot where I can call it drops my call. I'm not even exaggerating when I say that I have a dropped call every 5-10 min. HATE ITTTTTTTT
I would say AT&T would hopefully become less crowded and the iPhone network will start to hopefully run better so i am glad Verizon is taking some of the overcrowded iPhone users.
I dont think so because what i heard was that the reason it's taken so long for verizon to get the iphone is that verizon would not allow the phones to use the app store. Instead they would have had to use myverizon on the phones and apple didnt want that. So the fact that verizon is getting the iphone makes me wonder who gave in? if it was apple then i dont think the iphone for verizon will be as good as the one for at&t without the app store.

I imagine Verizon caved, Apple is so firm and set in their decisions.
