The controversy over airport body scanners has created a crop of entrepreneurs hawking items that promise to keep parts of your body from showing up on the images TSA agents see.A recent entry into the line of "privacy underwear" was created by Marc Carey, a Kentucky attorney who says his T-shirts, panties and boxer briefs have strategically-placed logos with special ink on them that blurs private parts to TSA agents.

Do you think we have the right to use protective clothing? thoughts?

I do think we have a right to privacy, but these types of clothing open up oppritunities to have people hide things in their clothes.

I agree with Mckenna, but I really don't want to be that vulnerable, I am a bit conflicted.

yah If we start to use these and the tsa doesnt do anything then anyone can hide things under logos like this.

This is cool, but I think that we shouldn't mess with airport safety. I don't get the point of wearing "blurring underwear" if you're just going to get a pat down anyways....

I don't think that these would help with privacy. They would proabaly pat you down anyway because they couldn't get a clear image. Unfortunately, those are the areas that bad people hide stuff in.

All that will happen is that the TSA will spend even more money developing a scanner that can detect the areas hidden by that clothing. And then more ingenious ways of getting around it will be devised. Rinse and repeat until the apocalypse.

I can understand why people feel comflicted on this type of security....but in the end its just gonna help everything overall.
so by using these undies as a means to get around security.......just doesnt sound too fantastic.

I think we have a right to privacy of course, but I do not fly that often so when I go to the airport I just try not to let it bother.

I wonder if the bluring includes anything under the clothing. i think people need to be less insecure because this is our national security here.

Demanding for rights of privacy doesnt always mean
that person is hiding something..
And you'll get patted down anyway, so
there really is no point to this.
