I believe that elderly drivers gets an exam or something if they could still drive. But I think the district should not allow drivers over 65 years of age to drive just to the safety of the children and rather give them a different job.

People complaining about ageism are Insane. When you get old, you lose the mental capacity to do certain tasks. And it just keeps getting worse and worse as you age. The district is correct in their testing

I do think that they should, for everyones safety. Though alot of people can still be good drivers when elderly not everyone is. Your reactions arent the same as they were when your younger. I personally feel 81 is too old for someone who is responsable for the safety of the young children that they drive to be driving a school bus.

I do think that they have the right to do this. If it is puttting peoples lives in danger why shouldnt they beable to do this?

I do think that they have a right to impose more rules for bus drivers because they are in charge of children and if they are too old to do that then they shouldnt be hired

I think that if you are 81 you shouldnt be driving a shool bus. I think the district should defiantely making sure their drivers are up to the job not just the older ones, just because you are young doesnt mean you can drive well.

Yes they do. I think everywhere should make a harder test for old drivers. Have you ever driven around an old person?!! They are either crazy drivers or slow drivers!

I think that they have the right to test people over a certain age for the safety of others, because the people on the bus are putting their lives in the hands of the bus driver. It's not ageism because it is a fact that as people get older they lose the ability to do certain things.

no, i think that it should be determined by the dmv. the school district can make them get tested, but they should determine if an elderly can drive or not. some elderly are more than capable of driving.

I think that is safe and that the school district should be able to do this because there would probably be less accidents or crashes.

I think they should take this measure to impose rules on the age of the drivers. The elderly drivers should not be offended because they are just taking safety measures.

This is like asking me if I want an eighty-one year old guy operate on my brain.
The district should be stricter.
Besides, the old person should just retire.
