Stephen Colbert, Olympic Hero?

Stephen Colbert - and the members of the Colbert Nation - took over the sponsorship of the US Olympic speedskating team after their sponsor went bankrupt. 

He's since aired in a series of features about various Winter Olympic sports (where he tries to make their teams...hilarious...) and Canada (including "dubbing Canucks "syrup suckers" and playfully accusing Vancouver Olympic skating officials of playing fast-and-loose with the rules and the concept of fair play" and also a HYSTERICAL piece about how they were restricting the US team's ice time...I believe it was called "Don't Be an Ice-Hole" http://ccinsider.comedycentral.com/2009/11/12/colbert-launches-dont-be-an-ice-hole-letter-campaign/),

Not necessarily related to my question, I just thought it was funny.  Feel free to add your thoughts, or to answer the below:

Are you excited about the Olympics?  Do you plan to watch much of it?  Which is better, Winter Olympics or Summer?  Fave sports?

Olympics are fun. I don't watch it but when I do I enjoy it. Summer is always better. I mean it comes around once every 4 years and they are amazing. I heard skateboarding is going to be an olympic sport in 2012, that will be awesome.

I am very excited about the winter olympics. I personally like both (summer and winter) equally and do plan on watching it all if i have the time to haha

I love the Olympics! When they come on every four years, that's all I watch and talk about! HAHAH :D So I will definately be watching alot of it.
Personally, the Summer Olympics are my favorite, and my favorite events to watch are swimming and gymnastics.
I LOVE MICHAEL PHELPS <3

I'm more of a summer Olympics person, haha.
The only sports I watch are boxing, judo, and taekwondo.
The winter games on the other hand....
I only watch figure skating and hockey.
