Now stuff like this is why Im afraid of the ocean.. so...I won't have that problem :)

Supposedly, people should use something hard, like
this smart girl who used a board, to hit the shark, but at the eyes or the gills
because they're the more sensitive parts.
I've also heard kicking the shark in the nose, but
I've never tried cause... I've never encountered a shark before. XD

(edit: whoops, forgot to add "who used a board." It would sound like to use something hard like this little girl to hit the shark.)

if it was shallow water i would have hit the shark once and then ran to shore if it was that close to the shore.

That is one tough little girl. But that is exactly what your soposed to do. Luckily she was close to the shore, if it had been a surfer then they might not have been as lucky.

If I am not mistaken, shakes does not swim close to the shores. If that is the case; then this place is not a safe area to surf.

I would also do the same and hit the shark with a board!!! bleh

This is exactly why i dont mess with the ocean, i enjoy dipping my feet in but thats about it. But i must admit it takes alot of courage to fight of a shark!!!
