A man, christopher savoie, has complete custody over his children after a divorce with his ex-Japanese wife. The court comes to an agreement that the ex wife can take the children on summer vacatons to Japan. However, at the end of summer, she didn't bring the kids back to the USA. The US tried to negotiate with japan, but they are not releasing the children. After looking at the bleak prospects of legally trying to get his kids back, he took matters into his own hands. He went to Japan and took his kids back from his ex wife, but the police caught him. Now he sits in jail in Japan being charged with abduction of minors. He could face up to 5 years in jail. The US is still trying to talk to Japan to release him and his children.
