Lindsay Lohan To Play One Of Charles Mansons Girls
March 28, 2008
I wonder if Lindsay Lohan has a thing for celebrity murders. Lohan has already completed Chapter 27, a movie about John Lennons murderer and now she has been cast to play one of Charlie Mansons cult followers.
ET reports that Lindsay Lohan will star in the true life crime film, Mansons Girls. Lohan will play Nancy Pitman, a pampered surfer girl who fell under the thrall of Charlie Mansons charms. News of Lohans casting hit when the films producer, Brad Wyman, told ET.
On August 8th, 1969, Charles Manson directed four members of his Family to the home of an absent Roman Polanski and his pregnant girlfriend Sharon Tate. By the morning, Mansons followers had brutally murdered five people (including Tate). Pitman never took part in the brutal murders of Tate and four other people that night. But, she was eventually charged with being an accessory after the fact and served 18 months. There were even rumors that she returned to the Tate house with Manson after the murders to help plant false evidence.
So far, there isnt much info about the film, but since the title is Mansons Girls I can only assume that they are going to need to hire a few more gals to fill out the cast. Likely, to take on the roles of Manson devotees Susan Atkins, Patricia Krenwinkel, and Linda Kasabian. Not to mention who is going to play the head psycho himself, Charlie?
If done right, Mansons Girls has the potential to be an excellent movie. If not, it could be as bad as Lohans I Know Who Killed Me.

Do you think this movie should be made considering the circumstance of crimes committed by the manson family? Do you think this movie waill somewhat glamorize and evoke sympathy for the Manson clan of murderers? And what does this say about Lohan? Your opinion pleasseee....

Chapter 27 was actually a really good film that gave insight into Mark David Chapman's state of mind when he killed John Lennon. Lohan portrayed a friend of Chapman's, and personally I thought her part was well acted. But with all of her negative media attention and party girl persona, I don't think I could take her seriously as a Manson Girl. I'm not sure I agree with the making of the film either. Hollywood needs to realize that not EVERYTHING should be made into a movie.
I dont care how good or bad of a movie this might turn out to be. It is America and people can make movies about whatever they want to, regardless of who it offends.

Well I don't think it will glamorize it. This is America, you can pretty much make any film you want. I think Lindsay Lohan would fit the part though lol.
