i think the punshiment should be way harsher because this was physical abuse. so i think just expelling them was letting them of too easy they should of gotten the police invovled and gone on some kind of probation and not allowed in school sports and not be able to come back to the school.

That's pretty much assault. And just being expelled? What justice does that do? I'm sure their parents are giving them a punishment, however I don't see what the lesson of keeping them out of school for a while will do.

I think their punishment should be harsher because they assaulted them by beating them with hockey sticks and belts. I think expulsion of the kids is smart, but they also deserve more punishment than that.

I think they should get a heavier sentence. Maybe even jail time, becuase hazing is so completey wrong. It can scar people for life.

this punishment is barely a slap on the wrist. depending on what level of injury the students being hazed endured they should possibly spend some time in jail and some community service would definitely be good for them too.

hazing isnt bad but it is to a certain point where people must realize its wrong to do anything life threatening or scaring.

I think for something that bad they should have more punishment then just a expulsion, They should really be put in jail. That is really wrong for them to do something that rude and bad to people. I Think the police should have done more then what they did.

For the students to not even be permanently expelled is ridiculous. They should've been punished with full expulsion and at least community service.

I think a 5 day suspension was more than enough. People should deal with their own problems. I don't see why the school needed to be involved.

I dont understand why the school got involved. If they are going to get involved I would thinkg they would atleast take away school activities. I think they should have let the police do their job.

I think the students got a very light sentence and should have been punished harsher. Hazing is a serious problem among teenagers, and this was physical abuse as well. They should be permanently expelled from the school, and have to perform some sort of community service to avoid criminal charges. If they take this light punishment as a sign that hazing's not that big of a deal, they might commit something like that again in college, where they could be charged with assault.

As much as I think hazing isnt that bad, these students defiantely crossed the line. I cannot believe that no jailtime or harsher punishment was issued! They inflicted physical ABUSE on the hazees (idk how to spell it) so they should recieve a much more heavy punishment than simply being expelled for a lil bit then allowed to return in october.
