In the last year special U.S. agents and miliatry special opperations has been investigating the growing conterfeit money problem within Peru. The U.S. agents and military officials have found about 7.8 million dollars worth of conterfeit money in raids alone. That doesn't even account for what is not found and brought into the US. They have also uncovered fake visas, pass ports, and drug trafficking. A result of all this conterfeiting is that it may bring down the value of the dollar and also allow terrorists to get the proper documentation needed to enter the U.S. The U.S. has taken the liberty to train police officers and bankers to more efficiently stop the conterfieting, drug trafficking, and fake visas.
What other steps do you think the US could take to help reduce the amount of conterfiet money? What do you think Peru's government could do to help control the situation? Do you think conterfieting money, passports, and visas is potentially very dangerous?

Counterfeiting passports is definitely dangerous. It took us a while to realize we had terrorists among us, after September 11. Think about how many people could get in with a fake passport and visas.
the US should create team of investigators so that they can find the source and shut it down and check passports, visas, and money from foreign countries more carefully. yes i think it could potentially be very dangerous if it gets out of hand any further.
Although counterfeiting money is a serious crime, the counterfeiting of passports is especially dangerous and could bring more terrorists into the U.S. Also, drug trafficking is a serious problem, as seen in the numerous deaths (in Mexico and the U.S.) that drug cartels in Mexico are involved with.
Well first of all, I'm sure that there are many, many political advisors who have thought this through much more thoroughly than I. So I'm not going to pretend I have any great ideas about how to stop this counterfeiting abroad.
However, I do think that more money needs to be poured into investigating this. While Barack Obama employs Keynesian economics like never before, why not take some funds from our defense spending (if possible, mind you) and use it to help prevent further counterfeiting? This could help reduce terrorists from entering the nation illegally, as well as the obvious benefits that would stem from this such as the prevention of more illegal drugs being smuggled across our borders.

The U.S. government and the Peruvian government should work togethor to help stop the counterfeiting. I think this problem could be very dangerous if they let it get out of hand.
