An Australian man has been arrested and charges with raping his daughter for 30 years and fathering 4 children with her.
According to the Herald Sun and Australian Broadcasting Corp. the man was acused of continuing this practice since the 1970's, starting when she was 11 years old, and threatening her with violence against her mother. He was arrested in February after the woman approached the police.
Police said they were denied any information due to a court suppression order. Reports say the man has denied the allegations. However prosecutors will present DNA tests in court to show that he is the father of his daughter's children.
Ironically the man's wife, who lived in the same home with her husband, daughter and grandchildren, told the Herald Sun newspaper that she was UNAWARE OF THE ALLEGED ABUSE.
All four children were born with health problems and eventually one of them died, reports said.
According to yahoo news, the daughter first told police about the alleged abuse in 2005, but no charges were filed because she said she feared for her safety and would not cooperate with police.
My question is: How would the mom be oblivious to all of this and should she be prosecuted for being an accomplice?
