On Wednesday, September 9, Michael Duvall, an assemblyman from Yorba Linda California, stepped down after being caught talking about his affairs on an open microphone. Shortly after, he denied the affairs saying "my offense was engaging in inappropriate storytelling". He also stated that his decision to reisign was not a reason to believe he had an affair or affairs. An investigation is in effect to investigate the relationship with a lobbyist for Sempra Energy.
i think its right for him to resign because he totally ruined his reputation and i doubt people are going to trust in him or follow him after this little scandal. although he didnt break any laws so i dont think he should get punished.. the humiliation of this scandal being publicized is punishment enough
he should resign but he shouldnt get a punshiment because he's outside life has nothing to do with his job unless it starts affecting his perfomance. but what he did was extrmelly wrong and he should be humilated.

Yes i think that it was proper for Duvall to resign because of his sexual exploits and his tarnished reputation. I dont believe any further punishment is necessary, however, because losing your job and reputation should be humiliating and punishment enough.
