I recently joined Change.org which allows you to petition for things you believe in like Prevention of human trafficing, Child Marraige laws in foreign countries, even The banning of Shark Finning.
All this is done by signing your name on the website to letters that they send to congress, you can even raise money,or start your own petitions, ect.
I recently signed a petiton asking The Washington Post to stop accepting adds for Sensual message parlors which are commonly known for human trafficing spots.
This is some of the update I got
Your recent action to urge The Washington Post to stop accepting advertisements for sex trafficking operations has grabbed the attention of Ken Babby, the Vice President of Advertising at The Post. He has now agreed to meet with Ambassador Mark P. Lagon, Polaris Project's Executive Director, about the ads. This meeting is an important first step towards ending the marketing of sex trafficking in one of the country's most prominent newspapers.
In total, 2,426 people sent a letter to The Post, far surpassing our goal of 1,000 letters. Thank you for being a part of this important advocacy effort. We will keep you updated on the progress of the campaign.
So I encourage everyone to sign up and participate. Honestly it takes two seconds to write your name and email and at the end of the day you feel good knowing you made a difference
Most of these are non-profit organizations. guess what else i just founddd!!! "UNICEF inspired gifts" where you can buy immunizations for polio or mosquito netss or even high energy/protien biscuts. IM SO EXCITEDDD !!!!

But will this really work? It may not be in the benefit of, say the Washington Post, to not accept sensual massage parlor ads or whatever, unless people actually start boycotting.
