A teen in Citrus Park, Florida is humiliated after her high school yearbook was passed out on Monday. Why? There's a photo of the junior showing more than she intended to. You see, she had decided to not wear underwear that day because she didn't want panty lines to show up in the photos. Unfortunately, the camera got more than she had expected it to.
the girl is so embarrased that she hasn't gone back to school. the yearbook has already been passed out, but the girl and her mother want the district to get every book back.
do you think the school district should do this? would you be so embarrased not to go back to school?
i can see how its embarassing but its not that big of a deal. anyone who would make fun of you for having what you have is completely immature. and who was editing the books?
wow thats embarrasing. i think that the school should get the books back but i honestly dont know how they can get them. I mean thats a lot of books, and since it is the end of the school year, im sure that the students wouldnt be able to get their books till later in the summer.

the yearbook staff obviously and the district says that final approval for the yearbook goes through faculty advisors and an administrator. they said that its not that revealing, that it's just a shadow.
The yearbook staff should have caught that mistake before it was published and passed out, but in order for such a photo to even be taken means the girls skirt/shorts/whatever she was wearing was way too short...that is sad and embarassing though. I could see why she wants all the yearbooks recollected, but thats kind of impractical and would be very hard to do.
That's what she gets for not wearing underpants. She should really just suck it up. She's really going to let her grades suffer because of her tarnished rep? Oh boo-hoo.
that suck, but its only high school. whatever in 2 3 4 years your not going to see like 3/4 of those people ever again.. so i mean whatever.. she'll just always be known as that girl in the year book without underwear.. thats pretty unfortunate.
haha that is embarrassing. they shouldnt have put that in the yearbook. i wonder what is showing? her butt or what? i would go back to school..id just laugh about it and people would eventually get over it. the year book class or whoever does it at their school should get in trouble.. and i dont think everyone should have to give their books back.
that suck, but its only high school. whatever in 2 3 4 years your not going to see like 3/4 of those people ever again.. so i mean whatever.. she'll just always be known as that girl in the year book without underwear.. thats pretty unfortunate.
I totallyyy agree. I mean it's High School. Chances are, this isn't the ONLY time she's had bad things said about her anyway. Whatevs she needs to stop complaining. She graduates next year anyway.
its her fault for wearing no panty line... but hey the yearbook staff shouldn't have posted the picture in there anyway. the person who edited the yearbook should have been more careful...
& about recollecting the yearbooks i don't think that's gonna be possible.
what are they gonna do "IF" they do collect it back? burn them? they can't edit it.... & to make brand new ones, that's ALOT of money....
The people in charge of the yearbook should have never put the picture in. I feel horrible for the poor junior girl! THis situations would be tramatising for anyone. As far as the school collected back all the books, i think the school should dispute some sort of compansation for their mistake.

I think if we were all in her position we would feel very diffent though. Admit it everyone now has a picture of your ...:).... and you would just walk right into school like nothing happened? I think that's a little questionable.

Um...NOBODY has any picture of ANYTHING of mine...so re-word that please. :]
i think its the yearbook editiors are at fault. they should approve and not approve what goes in the yearbook. this incident could have been avoided. but unfortunently it was not. poor girll...i do agree with bpurn though. its not like your going to talk to any of the people you go to school with after you graduate. plus this whole picture thing will be the talk of the school till something else happens. laugh it off hehe.
Why would they put that picture in the first placed?? Shouldn't the person who's in charge of yearbook have caught that, say it was unacceptable, and take it out? That's what should've gone down.

But thats exactly it. She didn't think anyone had that kinda picture of her and BOOM! Now it's in almost everyone's hands and everyone must have seen it by now.

HAHAHA That's so wack. I KNOW no one has a picture of anything.
But that girl needs to go back to school. Cause &Effect, child. Welcome to the real world!

Maybe your not getting it. She thought the same way as you. No pics no problem. Look where she is now. Get the point?

Um no, I get it. I got it the first time. But thanks for speaking to me like I'm braindead.

Didn't mean to come off like that and I still find it hard that you find someone in your position going through this and yet you don't see any connection. Not trying to be mean just don't understand the logic in it.

i think it was definitely the yearbook staff's fault. they should have made sure there were no pictures like that. i would be really embarassed too. i don't know if i would just not come to school, but maybe. it is super embarassing. poor girl.
That would be awful. Mr. Disbennet talked about this in class the other day when he was going over his daily routine of what happened in the news that day.
I would think that most people would miss at least a couple days if the whole school saw a picture of their "hehe". The best solution is for her to try to laugh it off (although I can imagine how hard that might be) because it's unlikely they're going to recall every yearbook.
