I don't know what I would do if I was in this situation.
I think schools should have graduation caps and gowns available for students to borrow for graduation and then turn back in to the school. That way, if you couldn't afford to buy your own, you wouldn't lose the opportunity to participate in the ceremony.
If i was unable to afford the cost of a cap and gown i would either borrow someones from a previous year or do chores for someone to earn the money. No madder what i would find a way.
when people cant afford to buy a cap and gown or find one from someone else to borrow..i think the school should donate one or help the kid buy one. everyone that is graduating deserves to have one!
i agree. i mean most people wear it once and it sits in your closet. you dont realy need it as like a memory keep sake... having like a donation to your old high school foor your cap and gown would be a good idea for people like this, because times are rough and though most of you may not want it because its stupid or superficial to do so, graduating in a cap and gown may mean a lot to someone or someother family.
that was a cool move on the principal's part. more people need to do nice things like that for each other. its good that he got to graduate, because he deserved it.
I was going to borrow my friend's cap & gown but she couldn't find hers..so I ended up having to buy it. Although I'm really looking forward to graduating, I had a hard time giving up 50 bucks for a black robe and hat that I would only wear for a couple of hours...
