In February, David Hampton, 23, was charged in Charlotte County, Fla., with robbing a BP gas station and became the latest such robber to run out of gas in his getaway car even though minutes earlier, obviously, he had been present at a gas station. [WWSB-TV (Sarasota), 2-9-09]
Do you think Criminals should wise up before committing a crime? (America is better off with dumb criminals, he should have to go to a Crime 101 class)
i think this guy is pretty stupid if your going to commit a crime you need to make sure you have somewhere to hide or at least a car with a full tank of gas... how dumb does that sound he robbed a gas station and he got caught because he ran out of gas lol
i think criminals should wise up and not commite the crime in the first place. america would also then need to wise up if they did offer criminal 101 classes.
well he is stupid. i guess thats what you get. karma will get you sooner or later. crime 101 class? ha your funny? in general anyone committing a crime..is dumb.
How Ironic. That just proves the level of intelligence some criminals have. If they're going to commit a crime in the first place, they aren't very intelligent...
haha! I think it's absolutely a joke how some people act. Ok..if your planning on robbing a gas station i would make sure that my get away car would have gas in it! Some people these days...I swear.
yeah criminals are dumb, but dont you think its better this way for us? um yeah, becaue the dumber they are, the less they get away with, and the better off and safer we are. soooo there you go. like tash said, anyone wanting to committ a crime in the first place is dumb.
hahah well people shouldn't even commit crimes but if they're going to then yes they should think before they do it. but then karma will always get them back :)
Haha the dumb ones do simple crimes. The 'smart' ones like, say Madoff, get away with 50+Billion[yes, BILLION] dollars...but he isn't smart enough to not get caught. Specialization much?

the fact that he ran out of gas is bad enough but what makes it worse is that he was just at a gas station...maybe he was really nervous and didn't think to fill up his gas tank...the things people do amaze me sometimes.
Pathetic... but as one person said somewhere above me, it's better for us that they're just plain STOOPEED!!! The more "smarter" ones actually get away with it for quite some time like Madoff. And if the law doesn't get them, KARMA WILL!!! :D
