I thought this article was interesting it is about how the child actors in the movie "Slumdog Millionaire" are going to get new homes. Two of the children actually are currently living in slums right now.
What do you guys think of this article? Do you think that the authorities are only doing this because it won 8 oscars?
I think that it is good that these kids are getting out of the slums and going to school now. it is definitely because of the movie and because of the fame they brought to India. Although this is a good thing, it's kind of not fair. So many children in India live in slums, and just because these kids were chosen to do this movie, they get a good life now. but i guess that's just how it is. i wish there was a way for more kids to have this opportunity to improve their lives.
