Instead of spending $10 million dollars to upgrade a Library and Museum, dont you think we have other issues that need to be taken care of first? Like the economic crisis for instance?
i think it is definitely important to preserve these libraries and museums for future generations, and to make them nicer. but this is NOT the time to do it. the money and time should be spent on more important problems that America is facing RIGHT NOW.
Ten million dollars of construction and upgrades will help the local area I belive. They need workers and the materials to upgrade it so I think this is perfectly fine. Granted it could be spent on better things like maybe a better president's museum.

Word..and yes instead of spending $10 millon dollars to upgrade a library and museum........if its already built why add to it when we have other places we can be spending this money. or compramise and just fix it up a little..spend less money.
I have absolutely zero problems with this. The library itself raised $7 milllion and is looking for $3 million in private donations. Its going to temporarily provide a job to people in Georgia, and I don't see what the issue is. Are people up in arms when the Nixon library gets renovated?
Richard Nixon wasnt a good president and he even got a huge upgrade on his library soooo.......
Nixon was a good president up till Watergate. He got us out of Vietnam and the economy was doing well from what I remember. Watergate is just a really big scar for his reputation to deal with. I'm sorry but I had to give props where they were due.
Ok to be fair at least Carter helped bring back some kind of sense of honesty and true connection with the American people during the beginning of his term. Like Nixon though his end was plagued by misfortune and scandals.
