In Moscow, Seven members of a skinhead gang convicted over 20 racially motivated killings and 12 other violent attacks, will hear their sentences in a Moscow court Thursday, according to Russian media.
After prosecutors recommend sentences, the Moscow City Court judge will set a sentencing date for the crimes, which were committed between August 2006 and October 2007.
The jury acquitted two other suspects, citing a lack of evidence, Anna Usachyova, a court spokeswoman, told news agencies RIA Novosti and Interfax.
Jurors said Artur Ryno and Pavel Skachevsky, the 17-year-olds who organized and led the group, did not deserve leniency, according to Usachyova. They face between eight and 20 years in prison.
Jurors felt the other five convicted attackers that aged from 15 to 22 should receive a lesser punishment.. do you feel this is right? should they all be tried the same, and be sentenced the same?
welllll i mean the way i see it hitler back in the day probably would have gotten a worst punishment then his generals or whatever. so the leaders should probably get worst and i don't know russian law but if a 17 year old is usually tried as an adult then they should be but if they are still considered a child then shoot, S.O.L...
murder is wrong no matter how old a person is, and if a person murders repeatedly, especially based on racism, then it doesn't matter what their age is. They need to be punished.
i basically agree with everyone. if u were tough enough to commit such a crime it's stupid that u get to be a coward when it comes to the punishment of your crime.

In Russia you have the full responsibility for your actions after your 14th birthday. The thing is, whether they go to prison or not there still going to be many race-hate crimes. especially nowadays. Even more - if those skinheads are etnically russians other racists will "revenge"
