In 1993 a Canadian Lieutenant General named Romeo Dallaire was given command over U.N. peacekeepers in Rwanda. He left a year later a broken man, having helplessly watched more than 800,000 people die despite his pleas for help during the genocide in Rwanda. He knows that if the U.N. had assisted by sending more troops they could have saved hundreds of thousands.
What alternatives could the U.N. have taken rather than just sit idly by and refuse the sending of more troops?
Maybe they could have sent some more troops? Sounds like the most logical solution to me. Also, maybe ol' Romeo could have sent some hockey players from Canada. Those guys seem pretty tough.
you knowi love you, but you need to learn how to grow up and not nitpick about SPELLING because you are only distracting people from your arguement and not HELPING your SITUATION
Maybe I am just trying to help people realize that improper spelling and poor grammar usage is hindering the power of their arguments. It goes to the WEIGHT not the ADMISSIBILITY.
ive thought about it, and genocide is not going to stop unless theres otheres shooting back at them. so more soldiers is kind of the only answer. -stuart denton
The WEIGHT is irrelevant, your arguement is FALSE-truths, and an IGNORANT waste of TIME, BECAUSE you CANT argue worth the cheap off-brand shoes you WEAR you FELL-SERPENT. SO just surrender to my WILL, for IF you DONT, there will BE mental DOMINATION
i think the Rwanda situation in the 90s is quite similar to the one going on in Sudan and we've never been too quick to go and help like even during world war II we didn't go over to save the people in concentration camps for a really long time and maybe what we could have done was provide the weaker force with guns and all that stuff. I mean if we aren't going to personally go over there we could at least send aid or some sort of help.

We didn't help the Jews in concentration camps right away because we didn't know about them during the begining of the war. But once we made head way into Hitler's empire and discovered the camps, we did help them.
