In the Solomon Islands they've had an ethnic confilct which ended in the late 1990's and part of the peace agreemant was that the Islanders give up their firearms.
The people have had a rash of crocodile attacks, though, and a ten-year-old girl was killed. The People's Police Force is trying to deal with these attacks, but it is still a prevalent issue.

Should the Islanders be allowed to carry firearms? How far should peace go if it puts the people at risk?

no i don't believe the islanders should be allowed fire arms, if there are crocodiles then don't have your children play around swamps.

i cant imagine that the crocodiles are seriously taking over and killing so many people they NEED their firearms back. i dont think its a good enough reason. just stay away from those crocs and their homes

make some spears. Man has survived for thousands of years without fire arms. Or man up, and wrestle one.(Don't try that, it won't end well)

In this situation a croc attack is the lesser of the two evils. A few deaths is better than many deaths
