To fight the effects of hyperinflation Zimbabwe is releasing a $1 million bill. Zimbabwe is in a terrible state of affairs with an official inflation rate of 230 million percent per year. This new bill is worth 8 U.S. dollars and analysts say the inflation rate is actually in the billions. Meanwhile, the capital city of Harare is home to a cholera outbreak that the government can't afford to fight. 10 have died in the past week.
What can be done, on our part, for Zimbabwe? What should the government be doing to help?
we are in no place for helping more countries we are far too deep in debt as it is. its time for other well established and wealthy countries to stand up
yeah i agree that other countries get involved but if they don't do we just turn our backs? i think we can cut funding from something else and maybe put some of the money into donating to these helpless countries. Especially when we pull out of iraqu we will be able to spend less on the military and put more into these countries.
