Fritzl describes himself as a "born rapist"

Josef Fritzl, an Austrian man held his daughter captive in a cellar for 25 years. Fritzl and his daughter had 7 children together and he has stated that he is a  "born rapist". He blames his ways on his mother who would often beat him as a child.
Should he be allowed to hide behind his abusive mother for a way of excuse in how he treated his daugther?

No, not at all. Thats a ridiculous thought. Rape is not okay in any circumstance, no matter how tragic your childhood was.

Thats a ridiculous. people like him need to be put away for life... they dont deserve to be out in society. He has probably scared that little girl for life.

ugh, that poor girl. no he should not be able to hide behind anyone. it was his own decision to do what he did and he needs to take full responsibility for it even if his mother abused him. what happened to his daughters mom?

i don't believe that you can blame other people for your behavior......he should be locked up......many people who have come form abusive homes don't become rapists.

There is no excuse in the world for raping your daughter and keeping her captive in a cellar for 25 years. This guy doesn't deserve a life sentence, he should be strapped to the chair in my opinion.

No he can't hide behind his abusive past. If anything that would motivate a normal person to treat their children right, not cause him to rape his daughter...
