This blackout left most of Venezuela without power today when a major electricity astribution line failed. This blackout began at 10:38, and affected several million customers across the country including the capital Caracas. They are hoping the electricity service would be re- established gradually across the country. It was apparently caused by an unexplained fault in the 800 kilovolt Guri Malena line. Unfortunatley this electricity plant is one of the largest in the world and distributes 70% of the power in Venezuela, there has been three major blackouts in the last 6 months.
What would you do as president of Venezuela to prevent other major blackouts from occuring?
Well i can say i wouldn't let the entire country just completely run off one source... Look at what happened now... I understand there has to be a main line, but for it to go to almost an entire country sounds like a problem... So I would fix that if i was president :)
They need smaller power sources instead of one giant one. That way if a power source fails it will only effect a small area instead of the entire country.

I think that it would be a good idea to meet with these civilian police to at least talk, if only to avoid violence such as this. And 15% is not too outrageous and should be considered.
Well, now three engineers that worked there are blamed for sabotaging the power plant so i guess to prevent these things all you need to do is hire reliable employees
