Today, Greece air, rail, and urban transportation came to a halt in a nation wide 24 hour strike. The strike, staged by General Confederation of Greek Workers who represents over 2 million workers, protested the government plans to sell off the state's ailing flight carrier, Olympic Airlines. 50 Flights were canceled out of Greece, operating only one flight per destination. Public transportation, even buses, were at a standstill.
Is this fair for the rest of Greece being that one union representing 2 million workers should cause such a standstill in transportation? Mind you, Greece has only a 11 million population and 2 million is still a significantly huge chunk of the population.

This really sucks for the rest of the population. They need to find a way to get the buses and planes moving again or end the strike as quickly as possible.

the fact that the whole nation is at a stand still is just more incentive for the government to resolve this issue quickly so people can get on with their lives.
yeah i think that this is the point of the strike in the first place. the fact that it's causing so many problems just calls more attention to their cause.
this is what protesting does it causes inconvienience and shows how those workers are needed which causes change. its not a problem the government should give them what they want
