I think that this debate was the best that Palin has ever presented herself to the public. However, that being said, I thought she sounded very rehearsed and that it was all a sort of speech that was interrupted. I think her responses were her weakest point. Biden did the right thing by not being incredibly angry or defensive. This wasn't his moment to be spotlighted, he needed to not appear condescending or patronizing. I think his answers were insightful and on par. All in all, I don't think that you can declare a true winner in any debate unless someone is at a complete loss for words. Thats my opinion.
i believe Gov. Palin did extremely well, made few if any mistakes, and was able to talk about foreign policy without hesitation. Biden on the other hand seem to get fumed at times and you could see in his face that he wanted to respond in his intense "Biden" way. I was also bothered that Biden would never look into the camera, he seemed to be talking to the audience and moderator, more so than to the viewer, unlike Palin who made sure she connected. I believe this was huge for the McCain campaign because not only did Palin prove she can stand on her own, but i believe that she connected with the average Americans.
i think both candidates presented themselves very well. Was it just me, or did it seem like Biden didn't say anything biteful to Palin? It felt like he was agreeing with her half the time, and when he disagreed with her he told it lightly and nothing too tactless.

I also believe that both candidates presented themselves above the expectation. I also bleieve that Biden was quiet tame towards Palin. Personally comparing the two i believe Sarah Palin did a better job in the debate.
It was pretty close between the two. they both were very respectful towards one another and Palin didn't make herself appear like a bully. I do think Biden got frustrated at Palin a few times because of the way she weaves around the questions but he controlled himself. Something that was memorable to me was when the topic of global warming came up and palin proposed "we need to change the world" i wonder how she thinks she is going to do that....
Although Biden won, I think Palin had a huge moral victory. My vote hasn't changed, but both did a very good job. I wish Biden did less accusing and talked more about how they would change what Bush has done wrong.
im not sure if i agree with that, and maybe its bias but i believe Palin not only presented herself better but she was able to connect with the people better overall, Biden did so but not nearly aswell. Also Gov. Palin was able to handle and stand side by side as an equal with Sen. Biden with every foreign Policy issue that was presented. This would lead me to believe that Gov. Palin did better in this debate.
i liked that biden didnt look at the camera because this is a debate and most of it shouldnt be spoken clearly to the viewers. i thought palin spoke wayyyy to much to the american people and made it look like she kept giving speeches. she changed the subject and question too often and didnt answer questions as well as biden. neither or them or the presidential candidates are weak though we have to realize they have the guts to stand up for what they believe in and if i were any of them id be soo incredibly nervous to speak on national television with everyone analyzing so closely what is said or how you look and they way you react. they both did a great job... but biden did better.
oh and i think gwen did a good job too she didnt seem to take either one of their sides despite her book that is favoring obama.
I believe Biden was the top candidate because if you look at the polls, Biden did a better job, he is more likely to bring change, and is 87% ready to be President. While she surpassed expectations, he delivered. With or without agreement. The ability to be ready for the presidency is the most importantly quality.
Palin did alot better. However, Palin frequently changed the subject and rambled on. She even got cut off once. Palin DID a very good job of connecting with the audience(as usual), and did a good job over all. Yet i still think Biden won.

Politicians will frequently change subjects to talk about what they want to say. They normally have a preplanned idea of what they want to talk about so Palin being a little off topic at times was nothing unusual.
