Pakistan ordered their troops to fire on any American that crosses there borders. This order was issued because of the bloody assault the President Bush secretly ordered a bloody assualt against Afgah troops on Pakistan soil. Pakistan was a strong ally to American in the War on Terror. Out of this assault, Anti-American views grew rapidly through out Pakistan.
Questions: 1. What are your thoughts on the order issued by Pakistan?
2. Do you think the secret decision by President Bush would hurt the Republican campaign for Senator McCain?

If an American dies on Pakistani soil, I would be surprised if we didn't respond with full force. We shouldn't go into their country without asking for permission. I don't think they actually will attack American forces, because they know it will only cause trouble for them. I think it's more of a warning than anything.
No, it won't have impact on the election in my opinion.
1. I think they are completely in the right issuing these orders. We have no business being there and I am appalled by Bush's order. However, I don't think that the threat will be carried out because while our military is not at an optimum point, ours is far superior and deadly in comparison to Pakistan.
2. I don't think that this situation will have a major effect on the election. Although I do think that any one who is unsure, may be swayed toward the Democratic side because of how the current Republican regime has handled defense and McCain's views on defense. But like I said, not a huge impact.
I think it's definitely Pakistan's right as a nation to issue these orders to stop unwanted military operations inside their national border along Afghanistan. As to what this signifies in our relationship to the Pakistanis, I think you have to keep in mind that this is a new government and president that has different policies than the former president, Musharraf. So Pakistan's cooperation with the U.S. isn't just changing because of this and other suspected incidences like this.
I don't think that most people that haven't yet picked a candidate think of McCain when they hear Bush's name. So when they hear of a decision with more to do with personal judgment than anything else, i think they could just chalk it up to their views on Bush. Whether they see it as a good or bad decision, i think it just affects their idea of how smart Bush is.
The order that pakistan issued is absolutely fair, and they have every right to issue this type of command And as far as the campaign goes, i think it may have a subtle effect on the election, it might be able to be noticed, but people will want republicans in the white house even less after hearing about this secret cloak and dagger business
First of all i believe that it is unlikely that Pakistan will actually go through with an attack, although we are in an economic crisis and have troops sent out, i believe that pakistan realizes the power we hold as a super power of the world. Although this would have a devestating effect upon our country, their country i believe will ultimatly fall if pakistan were to take any action.
secondly i don't belive that this will have a big impact upon the ellections, first of all because the ignorance of most american's on world affairs. However it might have a subtle effect because most american's are fed up with the war we are already fighting and considering McCain wants to stay in the war for 100 more years if necessary, how long will a second war take?
i was saying that because bush is a republican and made a secret order to do an assault like that that maybe the republican party will loose the trust of the American people......
