The John McCain Campaign announced that the Republican candidate was being supported by one of Hilary Clinton's top supporters during her Presidential Campaign, Lynn Forester de Rothschild. Rothschild, who raised more than $100,000 for Clinton, and is part of the DNC's Platform Committee, stated that she feels that Barack Obama is arrogant, and feels that he cannot connect with the average American. She plans to announce her support for Sen. John McCain on Wednesday in Washington.
With this major democratic supporter behind McCain, do you think it will help him pull more of the Hilary Supporters, Women, Independants, and/or Democrats from Obama?
I think that the women who were sole supporters of Hilary and not Democratic supporters may be swayed. I don't think that it will be hugely significant
i think that this is the last things democrats need the democratic party was unbeliveably divided by clinton and obama supporters however when hilary devoted herself to the obama campaign and pleaded to her supporters to support obama also it appeared as if this problem was gone
but the prospect of an ardent clinton supporter throwing their weight behind the REPUBLICAN candidate is rather worrisome i hope that not too many hilary supporters will follow in suit

i think this may sway some of the undecided voters. if they see a democrat in high standing supporting McCain they will probably venture over to that side too. anyhoo, this move can only help McCain at this point.
Yeah, I could see how this could cause some loyal hillary supporters to vote for McCain. I think hillary women will see themselves in this Rothschild lady and when they see her doing this they'll wonder why they can't as well. As for independents, since this lady was fairly involved in the democratic party, I think this will be something that makes them wonder what could make her vote republican and possibly be convinced by her viewpoint. I think this would get less votes for McCain than the discontent female hillary supporter though.
Yes i do belive it will persuade more women to vote for the republican party. Hell hath no furry like a woman scorned! I believe Obama needs some type of campaign stratgey to win back these hillary supporters, bacause this will be a major deciding factor in this upcoming election!
Although this is very beneficial to the Republican party, the race is still very much divided, and today it is now leaning on the side of Obama.
I believe that politics based on religion, sex, or race is very immature. In her case, she evidently "swopped" political sides because a women was present on the presidential ticket. I believe that that is just lazy politics. We should take into account the policies and views that the politicians present and not so much their apparence or practices.

I mean I think this only proves that this particular Clinton supporter just wants a women in office.. and It will affect Obamas campaign just because there are a lot of ignorant people, or not necessarily ignorant but people who just want to see a woman in the white house, just as there are people only voting for obama because he is black. It should be fine..
